Cosimano to Highlight NHN’s Community Awareness Campaign to Support Health Equity

(Omaha, Neb., 5/2/2024):

Senior Director of Marketing Lindsay Cosimano, APR, will present at the national findhelp Connect Summit on May 2, 2024. Cosimano will co-present the Driving Engagement: Maximizing Your Community Impact, with findhelp’s Kelsey Allen and Find Help Georgia’s Kimberly Stewart-Lucas.

Nebraska Health Network partnered with findhelp in 2020 to launch a social services platform that connects individuals in need with local programs and support. Through the white label program, NHN branded the resource Community Relay.

Cosimano said that Community Relay began as a powerful resource to help clinicians address Social Determinants of Health with patients. “But we also knew there was a tremendous opportunity to introduce this resource to the community,” she said. “We wanted a way to connect with the individuals who, often because of the social barriers they face, are not prioritizing their health and may not be seen in a clinical setting.”

The findhelp session highlights NHN’s community awareness campaign, which targeted four audiences: employers, schools/daycares, faith-based organizations and community centers. Through a series of email messages, direct mail and social media content, campaign members received ready-to-use resources to help promote Community Relay to their followers.

“We know that each of these audiences has a high degree of trust with individuals they support, and it is reasonable to assume that if a person is struggling to find their next meal, they may turn to their church or school for assistance,” Cosimano said. “Our message to the four groups was simple, ‘When they turn to you, we can help.”

Promotional resources are available on Community Relay, through one of four landing pages: CommunityRelay.com/schools or (/faith, /employers, /community).
