(Omaha, Neb., 12/04/2024): Senior Director of Population Health Management and Innovation Mallory Callahan, MPAS, PA-C, was named one of the 2024 Midlands Business Journal 40 Under 40 Honorees.

The 40 Under 40 Awards recognize emerging leaders reshaping Omaha’s professional landscape. The MBJ notes that honorees are selected from a competitive pool of nominees, representing diverse industries and are ambitious change makers who are building our city’s future.

Callahan joined the NHN in 2017 following a career in family medicine, where she was a physician assistant at Nebraska Methodist Health System. She earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and a bachelor’s degree focused in psychology, biology and chemistry from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

Outside of work, she is on the board for Leap-for-a-Cure, a grassroots organization aimed at increasing brain cancer awareness, education and treatment in the Omaha community. In 2006, she founded the Don Martineau Foundation, which honors her late father and his battle with terminal brain cancer.

“Besides fundraising efforts for brain cancer treatment and education through Leap for a Cure, I am deeply committed to bridging the gap between clinical and community health,” Callahan said. She is a consultant for the UNMC Community Health Worker program and has worked to recruit, train and place CHWs across the state to reduce Social Determinants of Health to improve outcomes.

"This recognition is a testament to the energy and passion Mallory brings to the Nebraska Health Network every day. Her inspiring leadership and unwavering dedication to enhancing population health in Omaha and beyond are making a significant difference,” said Lee Handke, PharmD, MBO, CEO of the Nebraska Health Network.
