Beacom Health Wins Most Engaged Clinic Award from Nebraska Health Network
Omaha, Neb. (Sept. 29, 2025): Beacom Health was honored as the 2025 Most Engaged Clinic at the 2025 Nebraska Health Network Annual Meeting on Sept. 9.
Nebraska Health Network honors individuals or teams who, in the previous year, strengthened the work of our accountable care organization. The awards recognize honorees for their inspiring leadership, implementation of innovative practices and efforts to embrace and advance value-based care initiatives.
Beacom Health is an independently owned medical clinic in Fremont that was founded by Matthew Beacom, MD. Beacom Health focuses on comprehensive wellness.
“The Beacom Health team collaborates closely with the ACO to integrate data and advance quality initiatives,” said Kristien Simons, MSN/MBA, RN, NHN population health coordinator. “The Beacom Health team is deeply committed to achieving quality outcomes in patient care and has been instrumental in aligning their workflows with value-based care measures.”
Beacom Health is committed to advancing value-based care by making meaningful workflow changes that improve chronic condition management and ensure timely follow-up after inpatient stays and emergency department visits. These efforts help deliver more coordinated care and better outcomes for patients.
Beacom Health’s Clinical Director, Carrie Beacom, has taken a hands-on approach in aligning her clinic with value-based care measures. “Carrie has demonstrated strong leadership and a team-oriented mindset, fostering cross-functional collaboration among providers, staff and our ACO team,” said Sara Ausdemore-Matteo, NHN project manager.
Dr. Beacom has practiced medicine in Fremont for over 20 years. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Beacom has been on faculty at UNMC since 2001 and participates in overseas medical mission trips as a medical student mentor. Dr. Beacom has also been designated an Admiral in The Great Navy of the State of Nebraska by Governor Heineman.
Previous Most Engaged Clinic honorees include Primary Care Physicians, 2024 and Bellevue Family Practice, 2023.
